Fashion Test Shooting!

Had another amazing test shoot over the weekend! Model is Maryn Miller, Hair/Makeup/Wardrobe by Maria Teresa Chavez. I've known these two ladies since we were kids :). We've been blessed with gorgeous weather lately, and got so lucky with this amazing light! I live for shoots like this :)

Barbie in Berkeley

Every once in awhile, a girl has to get the heck outta Dodge and get inspired somewhere new! So last week I took a roadtrip up to Berkeley (yes, still as wacky as ever) with the lovely Barbie. We had fun (possibly too much) exploring Telegraph and the surrounding areas. I couldn't believe how exhausted we were once we sat down to relax a bit, haha. And here are my favorite shots of the day!

For The Love of a Child - Hello Gorgeous Fashion Show

Crazy cool hair, hot outfits, great music, delicious food and drinks.... AND all to benefit a great cause?! Hello Gorgeous Salon hosted a fashion show and party at the Westside Grill in Gilroy with proceeds going to Childhelp, an organization working to prevent and treat child abuse. Catalog Shoot

While my specialty is shooting outdoors and utilizing beautiful natural light, I have expanded my repertoire into shooting with studio lighting as well. There are some looks that call for a studio set up, and really having so much control over the light is nice. These were taken for an eBay store (link to be posted!), modeled by the lovely Danika!

A Fallen Angel...

I was lucky enough to work with two talented ladies on this portfolio shoot. Shanel was our "Fallen Angel" with hair and makeup done by Amber "Lady Luxe".

I am so thrilled with the way these came out, and I think they are too! Shoots like these really feed my hunger for creativity and expression. I use test shoots such as this as an outlet for ideas that I've stored in my mind. I'm constantly building a visual memory bank up inside my head every time I'm inspired! We're already talking about collaborating on another shoot... :)
