Alex & Sara Are Engaged! ~ Carmel Beach Surprise Engagement

When Alex first called me about this surprise engagement, he was full of excitement. He could NOT stop talking about Sara, the LOVE of his life. It was clear how much he loved her, and it was ADORABLE. He had a special plan, because as he said, "Sara deserves it!" He was going to surprise her during their vacation in Carmel.

On the day of, I arrived before the couple and pretended to just be a tourist taking photos at the beach. I anxiously waited until I saw Alex leading Sara by the hand to the beach. There was a trail of daisies waiting for her, with a special note from Alex on each, which lead to a romantic picnic and bonfire. Then, Alex dropped to one knee and presented Sara with a ring enclosed in a seashell box, that he had made himself! 

She said Yes! I had so much fun being a part of this special moment.

Congratulations Alex & Sara!!!

Andrew & Whitney's Wedding Story

Andrew and Whitney's wedding took place atop a sand dune overlooking the breathtaking Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, California. And let me tell you, I LOVED photographing this wedding. This couple is so in love, in the way that only best friends can be. They showed their personality in all the little details; from the handmade boutonnieres made by the bride (out of maps!) to the bridesmaids in their coordinating Toms. The intimate size of this wedding made for great memories, and each attendee was gifted a mexican falsa blanket to keep warm! I hope you enjoy these photos from a very special day.

Fashion Shoot - Valerie

Hi there! Today I'm sharing some personal work. It is very much like me to dress a girl up and put her in the forest, but it had been so long since I had! So the beautiful Valerie and I spent an afternoon amongst the oak trees and ivy. This was my vision... obviously I was feeling a bit dark at the time ;). Enjoy!
