A Fallen Angel...

I was lucky enough to work with two talented ladies on this portfolio shoot. Shanel was our "Fallen Angel" with hair and makeup done by Amber "Lady Luxe".

I am so thrilled with the way these came out, and I think they are too! Shoots like these really feed my hunger for creativity and expression. I use test shoots such as this as an outlet for ideas that I've stored in my mind. I'm constantly building a visual memory bank up inside my head every time I'm inspired! We're already talking about collaborating on another shoot... :)

Downtown Fashion

I got to test shoot with the lovely Andrea again last weekend! There is a small sculpture garden in downtown Monterey next to the Museum of Art which is where all these fun shapes came from. We walked around downtown and ended in a coffee shop next to the Osio theaters. I like the playful, casual feel we captured. It was nice to be creative, and not have any pressure! These types of shoots are important to me because I always expand my comfort level with new and different techniques. Hope you enjoy them :).









Though I'm coming up on some pretty big lifestyle changes, I've  been spending a lot of time learning about fashion photography. I'm excited for the projects I've been dreaming up in my mind. Lots of plans, lots of plans...... Have a great 4th of July weekend everyone!

Wayward Threads

This shoot happened right in the middle of a crazy transitional period for me (which is winding down a little, before it gets crazy again!) so it has taken me forever to post! But Lorri of L.A.S. Fibers and Wayward threads commissioned me to photograph her vintage and original garments that she sells on Etsy. Carmen and Addison modeled, location was Carmel Valley, and it was a gorgeous day!

The sky was filled with gold light and love...

As you may have noticed, I changed the layout of this blog to accommodate larger photos and rid the ads. More beauty, less junk :). I've been noticing the greater impact of larger images, so I hope this will bring more inspiration to everyone. I know it does to me!

June is my absolute favorite month. The long days allow for GORGEOUS light. While the colors were obviously manipulated in these photos, the actual colors were all golden and green. I took these while my boyfriend and I were driving through the mountains yesterday evening (no idea where we actually were, but we started in Gilroy!) and the beauty was just astounding. I highly recommend getting into your car with some good music and just driving on these long June evenings!

Porch Garden ~ Happy Mother's Day!

I spent today with my Mommy planting a Garden on my porch. She loves to garden and I didn't know much about keeping a plant alive, so she taught me :). We planted tomatoes, orange bell peppers, and lovely annuals. I am so happy with my new garden, I had to take pictures to share! I was supposed to take the pictures of my mom, but she wasn't feelin' it today, so another time soon!

Rachel Squared ~ A Photo Excursion

Last weekend my adorable friend Rachel and I went downtown Monterey and made a scene. Haha not really, we were pretty discreet, only a few people decided to stop and stare (lol). We both took our cameras and used each other as models. It was a great experience for both of us. Apparently it's a Rachel trait to be a little on the shy side, but when you put us together it cancels out! Here are my favorites...
